Nexus maintains a core focus in the Stop Loss market and works with both TPAs and Brokers nationally to provide self-funded solutions for employers with 5+ employees. Nexus is a distributor for distinctly different Stop Loss underwriters, and with each, interfaces directly with underwriting and manages all aspects of client relations and marketing. Unlike other distribution partners, Nexus is not a 'brokers' broker, but instead is a source of production that silos business with each underwriter depending on strengths, attritbutes and pricing parameters.
Nexus selectively works with underwriters that provide a distinction or niche. For example, the size of the group or type of industry may dictate which underwriters are a good fit. The intent is to match each prospect with the right underwriter to determine the best pricing objectives when considering demographics, geography, plan design and cost containment objectives.
